The Asbestos Removal Process
We do not recommend removing asbestos materials yourself. Asbestos removal is a highly specialized and regulated process, improper removal can pose serious health risks.
Assessment and Inspection
We identify the location and extent of asbestos-containing materials during our inspection of the space.
Creation of a Work Plan
We notify relevant authorities about the asbestos removal project and develop a comprehensive work plan based on the assessment.Â
Decontamination
We establish a decontamination zone for workers to clean themselves and their equipment before leaving the work area.
Containment
Using proper safety equipment and procedures, we establish containment areas using plastic sheeting and negative air pressure systems to prevent asbestos fibres from spreading to unaffected areas.
Wet Removal Technique
Using a wet removal technique, we remove the asbestos-containing materials to reduce the risk of airborne labelled and minimize fibre breakage or damage. The materials are then placed in leak-tight bags or containers labeled as containing asbestos.
Proper Disposal
All containers are labelled clearly as containing asbestos waste and taken to an approved disposal site.
Final Cleanup
We thoroughly clean the work area using wet methods and HEPA vacuums which conducting air monitoring and clearance testing to ensure that the area is safe and free of asbestos fibers.
